Compliance Coordinator

Established in 1980, the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC) is a multi-site mission-driven non-profit organization employing over 700 staff whose primary focus is providing the highest quality patient care to residents throughout the Merrimack Valley.
Nationally recognized as a leader in community medicine (family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, and geriatrics), GLFHC has clinical sites throughout the service area and is the sponsoring organization for the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program.
GLFHC is currently seeking a Compliance Coordinator responsible for providing accurate, relevant and timely support to the Compliance Manager and SVP - Chief People, Legal and Compliance Officer (CPLCO) on all compliance matters.
Assists in the maintenance of an effective compliance communication program for the organization, including promoting (a) use of the Compliance Hotline; (b) heightened awareness of Standards of Conduct, and (c) understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures Serves as a member of the Quality Council to ensure review of compliance and risk management issues for inclusion in annually determined organization-wide priorities Assists in the maintenance of policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance and Risk Programs.
Collaborates with subject matter experts to develop or improve effective policies.
Works alongside the Compliance Manager to manage the policies & agreement document center in SharePoint for GLFHC to ensure that all current policies and procedures are readily available to all staff.
Maintains record of changes and archived copies for potential compliance and/or legal inquiries.
Participates as a member of Safety & Sentinel Event Committee (SSEC).
Works alongside the Compliance Manager to manage the incident report database on SharePoint Assists Human Resources Department with annual handbook and policy review Liaison between GLFHC and C3 on all matters relating to Compliance.
Periodically reviews and updates Standards of Conduct to ensure continuing currency and relevance in providing guidance to management and employees.
Coordinates compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all Maintain strict confidentiality about individual health center findings and proprietary information Integrate department/workgroup improvement initiatives with GLFHC system-wide projects and strategic aims.
Administers regular compliance audits and investigates/resolves complex compliance issues.
Qualifications:
Experience 3-5 years' experience in compliance or regulatory risk management in a healthcare organization Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work well with individuals at all levels of an organization.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to multi-task and work well under deadline pressure.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
