Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Develops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequences, and processes in the manufacture of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. Interfaces with the Design Engineering team to coordinate the release of new products. Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and processing requirements of new or existing product lines. Ensures repeatability, zero defects, and Just In Time Product flow. Analyzes and improves the production of Yield of Sensor and Flow products. Creates schematics, Bill Of Materials, assembly drawings, and process documents. Documents and builds new vacuum/pressure manufacturing test standards and fixtures used in production testing and in the calibration of sensor and flow products. Recommends and performs Cost Reduction activities. Responsible for Design for Manufacturing review for new products. Solves technical and process challenges associated with electro-mechanical sensor and flow products in production. Position requires 25% domestic and international travel, often on short notice.
Special Requirements:
1) Demonstrated expertise utilizing Total Quality Management tools, including Poka Yoke design and Kaizen Events.
2) Demonstrated expertise troubleshooting and correcting production problems associated with the design and assembly of products.
3) Demonstrated expertise with data analysis and method evaluation concerning manufacturing and product support issues.
4) Demonstrated experience with SPC, Statistical Process Controls 8D and KT, problem solving tools FAIs and first article inspections.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, or the equivalent, and 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
OR, IN THE ALTERNATIVE:
Master of Science degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, or the equivalent, and 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
